The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which the Catholic Church welcomes new adult members into its faith community. On Nantucket this community is St.Mary's Parish - Our Lady of the Isle.

The first stage is a period of Inquiry which is an unstructured time of no fixed duration for questions and an opportunity for the beginnings of Christian faith to form. These informal meetings are held in the home of the director of this process.
